Staging of Lung Cancer: Radiologist Perspective

Radiology is a important component in lung tumour management. It encompases the work from screening, diagnosing , biopsy until managing and treatment the disease.
In view of management , tumour staging , tumour reassessment and its restaging are the most common and frequent role played by all the radiologist.
Staging by imaging include all modalities ie: chest radiograph, ultrasonography, computed tomography , magnetic resonance imaging and PET scan. This lecture will briefly give the overview of radiologist role in staging lung cancer especially using the CT scan which is the most common and reliable tool been use today.
Staging lung tumour using American Joint Committee in Cancer Version 8th will be used as reference standard of practice in radiology practice at this point of time.
Multidiciplinary meeting is another must have session in view of the best patient-care practice.
