Biodata:
Dr Narasimman Sathiamurthy MD, MMed (Surgery) received his Medical Degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2003 and completed postgraduate training in General Surgery from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2011.  He further pursued fellowship training in the field of Thoracic Surgery with the Ministry of Health, Malaysia and Institute of Robotic and Thoracic Surgery, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi, India in the year 2016.  He is currently serving as Consultant Thoracic & General Surgeon in Hospital Kuala Lumpur and also as the Head of Services for Thoracic Surgery Subspecialty in Malaysia.
His forte in Thoracic Surgery is in Nonintubated Video Assisted Thoracic Surgery, Uniportal Video Assisted Thoracic Surgery, Nonintubated tracheal resection and reconstruction and chest wall resection and reconstruction for soft tissue tumors, i.e sarcoma.  Dr Nara also carries numerous publications in both local and international journals and has keen interest in training young surgeons. He also serves as a life member of South East Asian Thoracic Society, Malaysian Thoracic Society, Society of Endoscopy and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Malaysia and Malaysian Medical Association.
