SBRT in Early Lung Cancer and Oligo-Metastasis
Dr Jasmin Loh Pei Yuin, Beacon Hospital Petaling Jaya

Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) is the precise delivery of highly conformal and image guided hypofractionated external beam radiotherapy delivered in a single or few fractions. Advances in radiotherapy equipment and techniques have enabled us to deliver high ablative doses to the target effectively and most importantly safely with little to no side effects. SBRT has now become the standard of care for medically inoperable early stage peripheral lung cancers with high rates of local control. SBRT is also increasingly used for treating oligometastatic disease.
